At Rye Community House we welcome the opportunity to bring people together to connect, learn and contribute.
We provide rooms for hire to match a variety of needs and purposes, all have access to a fully equipped kitchen.
Our larger Hall can is available for events including workshops, conferences, meetings. Our smaller rooms are perfect for smaller workshops, meetings, training days or consulting.
The whole facility can be hired allowing room for break outs and concurrent workshops. If used for children’s activities, there is a play area at the front of the building.
We can also offer a variety of extras to make your event run successfully, including catering if required.
So, whether it is a special interest group, a business meeting, a sporting club, an exercise class, or a craft group in need of a meeting facility – we have a room for you.

Bookings
Enquiries for bookings can be made by phone 5985 4462 or email to reception@ryech.org
Priority in accepting bookings is given to regular users and the House Manager has the discretion to refuse bookings where they may conflict with the House Code of Conduct
Bookings are not confirmed until both the Hirer and the House Manager sign the Room Hire Agreement
Cancellations within 5 business days of the booking may not be refunded
The booking body must show evidence of Public Liability Insurance of up to $10 million for public liability (if this is not possible (e.g., the Hirer is an unincorporated body or informal community group, please discuss with the House Manager)
All Hirers will be given a verbal or written safety induction and Hirers must ensure that any participants abide by any public health regulations and a record is kept of people attending
Looking after the space
Rooms must be left in the condition in which they were at the commencement. This may need to include:
- Wiping the floors with a mop (left in the hall)
- Putting any used crockery in the dishwasher, or, if the dishwasher is full, they should be washed.
- Cleaning and putting away any cooking utensils
- Putting chairs away in their cupboard or back to their original place
Where a bond has been charged the House has the discretion to retain the bond if the above conditions are not met or if additional cleaning is required.
Health and safety
The inside of the building and the surrounding yard area are designated non-smoking
Hirers are expected to ensure that participants meet all public health regulations.
Damages
While we expect some normal wear and tear, if you damage any items, please notify the Manager. If there is significant damage which requires repair, we will discuss the cover of costs.
