The Craft Room is tailored for creativity. It offers ample workspace, wifi, and TV/audio, making it ideal for arts and crafts, classes, and intimate gatherings.

The Hall provides a spacious environment with wifi, TV/audio, and access to kitchen facilities. It is well-suited for exercise classes, large meetings, and community events, offering the flexibility to accommodate various setups.

Booking Your Space

How to Book

Booking a room at Rye Community House is simple and convenient. You can make a booking by either phone or email. To book by phone, call us on 5985 4462 during our business hours. If you prefer to book via email, please include details such as the date, time, type of event, and any special requirements you may have. Our team will get back to you promptly to confirm your booking and discuss any additional needs.

Terms & Conditions

General Use

All rooms must be used for the purpose specified at the time of booking. Any changes to the event type must be communicated and approved by Rye Community House in advance.

Booking Confirmation

Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a booking confirmation email from Rye Community House. Please ensure all details are correct and notify us immediately of any discrepancies. Priority in accepting bookings is given to regular users and the House Manager has the discretion to refuse bookings where they may conflict with the House Code of Conduct.
Bookings are not confirmed until both the Hirer and the House Manager sign the Room Hire Agreement.

Cancellations

Cancellations within 5 business days of the booking may not be refunded.
The booking body must show evidence of Public Liability Insurance of up to $10 million for public liability (if this is not possible (e.g., the Hirer is an unincorporated body or informal community group, please discuss with the House Manager).
All Hirers will be given a verbal or written safety induction and Hirers must ensure that any participants abide by any public health regulations and a record is kept of people attending.

Facility Use

Users are responsible for the care and condition of the facilities during their booking. Any damage or excessive cleaning required will incur additional charges.

Rooms must be left in the condition in which they were at the commencement. This may need to include:

– Wiping the floors with a mop (left in the hall).
– Putting used crockery in the dishwasher, or washing items.
– Cleaning and putting away any cooking utensils.
– Putting chairs away in their cupboard or returned to original place.

    Where a bond has been charged the House has the discretion to retain the bond if the above conditions are not met or if additional cleaning is required.

    Health & Safety

    The inside of the building and the surrounding yard area are designated non-smoking.
    All users must adhere to health and safety regulations, including fire safety protocols and maximum occupancy limits. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of the booking.

    Damages

    While we expect some normal wear and tear, if you damage any items, please notify the Manager. If there is significant damage which requires repair, we will discuss the cover of costs.
