Empowering Through Coffee

Rye Coffee Connection

Join us in creating opportunities for workers to learn the art of coffee making and foster meaningful conversations.

About Rye Coffee Connection

Rye Coffee Connection believes in the power of community and conversation, and the Coffee Connection serves as a hub for people to connect, share stories, and support one another. We also provide training opportunities for people who wish to rejoin/rejoin the workforce, or volunteer but lack the confidence. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where individuals can learn about Hospitality including the craft of coffee making, gain valuable skills, and build confidence.

We work in partnership with Advance College who provide accredited and preaccredited modules of the Hospitality Essentials course at the Community House. In our first year of operation we have had 50 people complete the course and we continue to provide regular courses though the year.

We offer one on one barista extension to people who have finished the course.

Advance Community College delivers accredited and pre-accredited training in Hospitality Essentials, including Safe Food handling, RSA and Introduction to Barista, on site at the Community House. Our experienced trainers are passionate about coffee and committed to helping each participant succeed.

Whether you’re here to learn, teach, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee, our home made chai or hot chocolate, Coffee Connection is a place where everyone is welcome.
